Three Holiday Posting Strategies for Retailers

Implementing strong holiday posting strategies is very important as we approach the biggest shopping weekend of the year! We know how important it is to ensure those posts are seen by promoting them, especially during this time of year! However, with ad competition being stiffer and ad costs rising during the holiday season, you want to ensure your ad budget is being spent on the most valuable content.

Below I’ve outlined what types of content you should be focused on promoting right now.

  • Sales and promotions. A no-brainer!  Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and (our favorite 😉) Small Business Saturday are just around the corner. Surely you’re running some sort of promotion for one, if not all, of these. Be sure to highlight that these are deals your customers don’t want to miss out on and that they know about the deals to begin with by promoting those posts!
  • Gift ideas. Let’s admit it: Gift-buying for everyone on your list isn’t always easy. Everyone’s got at least one person on their list that stumps them every time.  Provide value to your customer by offering suggestions on what to buy that person. Consider grouping different items together and making them into an easy gift basket for your customers to grab and go! Advertise those suggestions. Your potential customers will appreciate your ideas and suggestions and will hopefully keep coming back for more!
  • Events. Hosting a fun, holiday-themed event like a Holiday Open House or Photos with Santa? You guessed it…. promote it! Events are a fun way to connect with your customers and get them into your store to shop! Make sure you advertise them to increase attendance & sales!

Focus your ad spend on these types of content, and feast 🦃  your eyes 👀 on the returns!
