Truth: Photos of people and a bustling store work well on social media to promote holiday events. Since December is a major month for in-store events, be mindful of gathering content to use for future event promotions while hosting events this holiday season with My Must-Capture Checklist for Holiday Events
Here’s the content I always aim to gather while hosting an in-store event:
- Photo/Video: People lined up outside of the store or at the cash registers
- Photo: A small group of event attendees smiling for a picture
- Photo/Video: Several behind-the-scenes views of people checking out what the event has to offer. (These make great Facebook event headers with text on top.)
- Video: People cheers-ing
- Photo: A team picture at the holiday events
- Video: Slow panoramic videos scanning from one side of the store to the other, showing how busy it is
- Photo: The event signage in the foreground with a busy background
Be sure to snap plenty of photos and videos at each of your events to share on social media this year, but also to create even more excitement and anticipation before your events next year!
What I Want You To Take Away From This Blog:
- Content from your holiday events perform well on social media for promoting future events
- The more photographs taken the less graphics or stock photos need to be gathered
- A photo from the event makes for a great “thank you” post after the event
Okay, over to you…
