As mentioned in the video, the two ways to track sales from social are:
#1. Product Matching. This works best when you’re featuring a specific product in an ad, a series of social posts, or on a live video. You then want to see if that item is selling out or if sales are up for that specific item/line. Keep track when people say they came into your store because they saw your ad, post or video while online. If you’re an Insider, we have a product matching tracking template available to you. Check it out here!
#2. Tracking the cost of the results for an ad. This works well when you use the Offer Ad objective in the Ads Manager Platform. You’ll be able to calculate how much revenue you earned from running an offer ad on a specific budget. Then based on the results you can determine if the offer is worth doing again in the future or if you want to test different offers to your audience.
Take these tips and implement them as soon as you can. Then take your findings and use them to evaluate the effectiveness of your social media channels. This can make it easier on you when determining your marketing and promotion for 2019.
