Why You Need All 3 Types of Facebook Ads Audiences

So many things go into making awesome ads but by far one of the most important is Facebook ads audiences. After all, reaching your PCGs (Perfect Customer Groups) leads to those PCGs becoming actual customers. Creating audiences in Ads Manager gives you TONS of options. I like to think of audiences as cold, warm, and flaming hot 🔥 and they all can work for you.

👉 Cold Audiences

These are people that have no idea who you are (yet!). You find them by using Demographic and Interest targeting. Create audiences based on geographic location, people who are interested in your industry (i.e. fashion, sewing, pets.) or your competitors, or people who have specific behaviors (i.e. online shoppers, job titles). Cold audiences are considered “Top of Funnel”. It means they’re important people to target in order to start them on their journey to you. This also includes Lookalike audiences.

👉 Warm Audiences

These are the people who have interacted with you and your business before, or people who are similar to those people. Audiences such as people who have engaged with your Facebook or Instagram Page, watched your videos, were interested or attended your Events and even your Fans.

👉 Hot Audiences

These are the people who not only know who you are but have interacted on a deeper level. They have given you permission to communicate with them. These are people in your email list (segmented is EVEN better), website traffic remarketing (people who viewed specific landing pages or products), leads from your Lead Gen ads, and people who have interacted with your FB Shop already. Basically, these are all the people primed to continue shopping with you.

It’s important to make sure you’re reaching all of these people and continuing to move them through the customer journey. And turning them into super hot customers. 🔥
