Social Edge Live, Episode 21: 3 Plays to Score This Fall

As a small business owner, it can be tough to stay on top of your social media marketing game. That’s why we’re sharing 3 of our game-changing plays you need in your marketing playbook to score BIG this fall. Don’t work overtime when you don’t have to. Whether you use one, or all three, these plays are guaranteed to bring more foot traffic, sales, and customers into your store.

  • The Double Pass
    • Promote a goodie bag giveaway to your customers and ask them to share a photo or video on social media. Make sure you include your social media handles so they can tag your store. This play drives more traffic to your store while also getting your customers to promote your business for you.
  • The Play Action Pass
    • Host a live show buying event. This play utilizes Facebook Live; one of the best tools retailers can use to market their store. Hold the event when your store is closed to limit distractions, and make sure a couple people on your staff are with you to help showcase products or help collect customer information from anyone wanting to purchase items they saw during the event.
  • The Counter Run
    • Collect customer information at the cash wrap before they leave your store. This play will make it easy for you to build your customer base, so you can email blast or advertise to them after they leave your store. You always want to keep growing your customer base and turn everyone into a repeat shopper. This could be as simple as having in-store signage asking to follow you on social or have a notebook and pen sitting out on the counter for customers to leave their information. If you have a POS system this is usually a built-in tool for you to take advantage of.

Now it’s time to take these plays to the end zone and share with me your game-changing results. Together we can celebrate the wins as they start to come in!

Crystal Media Now Doing Business As Social Edge

For Immediate Release

CARLSBAD, Calif., September 12, 2017 — Retail social media education company, Crystal Media., is now doing business as Social Edge™.

The goal of the name change is to tie the company name to its most utilized product, a membership group for retail small business owners looking to educate themselves on how to promote and grow their business through social media. The former “Social Edge” membership group is now “Social Edge VIP,” with the Social Edge™ name encompassing the full selection of company offerings, including video training courses, Facebook and Instagram Ads Management and done-for-you social media posts.

“Our main goal is to give these independent retailers an edge over the big-box competition using social media,” said Social Edge™ Founder and CEO, Crystal Vilkaitis. “The name ‘Social Edge’ fits our rapidly expanding offering better than the name the company was founded with.”

Crystal Media will still be used as an umbrella company for future offerings.

The name change was concurrent with a branding update from the company, which revamped its website, socialedge.co, to better explain the company’s products and services and improve customer experience. The company’s social media handles have also been updated to fit the new brand. Find them on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter as @socialedgeco.

For more information on Social Edge™, visit socialedge.co.

Crystal Media Live Episode 18: What Are Perfect Customer Groups and Why Are They So Important?

Perfect Customer Groups (PCG’s) are crucial to your success when marketing on social media because when you know who your PCG’s are, it can help you in several ways:

  • You’ll be able to create content that appeals to your perfect customer.
  • You’ll know what type of ads to run on Facebook and Instagram.
  • You’ll have a better understanding of what social platforms you need to be on.
  • You’ll know what hashtags to use to help target your perfect customer.

This is important because these are all the ways you’re going to find the people who are going to want to BUY from you!

It’s all about stepping into the shoes of your perfect customer to intercept their attention rather than interrupting it. People are more likely to engage in content that’s relevant to them. This is why it’s important to understand your Perfect Customers’ likes, dislikes, interests, hobbies, etc.

On this week’s episode of Crystal Media Live, we did a live demonstration with two live viewers, walking them through how to find their customer potential through the Facebook Ads Manager platform.

As an added bonus, you can download our Customer Profile Worksheet here.

Check out the video below:
