Posting one Instagram photo at at a time? That is so 2016.
Instagram recently launched Galleries, which allow you to upload up to 10 photos per post. Galleries show up just like any other Instagram post, but to let you know that there are multiple photos, you’ll see dots at the bottom of the post.
Other users can scroll through your photos by swiping left or right.
In order to create your gallery, you simply choose the photos on your phone you’d like to upload as part of your post.
You can change the order of the photos by doing a long press on the photo you’d like to move. Once you’ve chosen your photos, you can add a filter to all of them at once, or choose a different filter for each photo. You caption will apply to all photos.
This new feature opens a lot of new opportunities for businesses on Instagram:
- Show off grouped products like new arrivals or spring clearance items
- Tell a story
- Show how an event went from beginning to end
- Do a product demo with example photos
Don’t have this feature yet? It’s rolling out slowly to all users, so it’s only a matter of time before you’re telling your own story with Instagram Galleries.
