In Crystal Media’s Insider Facebook group, we scour the retailer questions for the most talked-about topics to share the answers that we know all store owners can benefit from.
Here’s a question from last month that retailers were buzzing about:
Retailer Question:
Which should I create for the Facebook preview of my upcoming online (website) sale – a video or a Reel? Is there a specific guideline to decide when to use a video or a Reel?
Crystal Media’s Answer:
That’s exciting! I would normally suggest using both and to promote a sale through several different content types. To announce the sale though, I would suggest a Facebook Reel. They have been having much higher reach and views than a regular Facebook video, and you might as well create for the full-screen mobile device users as many shoppers are using their phone to find brands and make purchases!
I always love suggesting the Green Screen Effect, where you can take screenshots of your website and upload them to the background, then talk in the foreground about the sale and how to navigate the website!
You can also consider cute videos starting off outside of the store announcing that you have a sale in a secret location. You would then walk inside and then open a laptop/desktop and type your website into the browser!
Looking forward to seeing the announcement. Feel free to link us to it once it’s complete!
