Insider Q and A: How to get more followers on Instagram?

Come one, come all! Did you know that each Insider member is invited to join our private Facebook Group filled with other Insiders, each of whom is a small business owner? It’s a warm and welcoming group that readily shares successes and tips. This comes along with the guidance from our team of experts.

This past week, we had an Insider ask this question:

How to get more followers on Instagram - Insider Q and A for Small Business Owners

Every question posted gets a thorough response from a team member, but in this case, the Insider community also chimed in with their tips on how to get more followers on Instagram.

The answers were so helpful that we had to share them with you:

💡 Answer 1: If you haven’t already done the Social to Sale course offered by Crystal, I definitely recommend it! Just finished it. There’s a whole lesson on how to get more followers on Instagram. I’m still small on Insta but I have found her tip of following your competitors’ followers and even your local chamber followers to be extremely helpful. My goal each month used to be to gain 35 new followers in a month. After trying her tip of adding your PCG of your competitors’ followers, I had 130 new followers last month!

💡 Answer 2: You could also run an IG-only contest and give something away. One of the entry requirements is to follow you on IG.

💡 Answer 3: If your goal is to get more followers on IG, you want to give people a reason to follow you on IG. You can do this by offering exclusive content that your audience on FB doesn’t see.

💡 Answer 4: Stay on Instagram’s good side by using all their features and tools as much as you can. Create high quality content and try to use Reels, Guides, Stories, and Carousels as much as possible.

💡 Answer 5: While posting a photo on IG, also make sure to use Instagram’s editing features. IG will recognize you’re using its features and might give you a boost in the algorithm. In the editing features I usually brighten, sharpen and add a higher saturation in the IG app, even just slightly!

We are happy to help our small business community through any question and road bump they may face! Thank you to our wonderful Insider community for uplifting and supporting each other!
