In Crystal Media’s Insider Facebook group, we scour the retailer questions for the most talked-about topics to share the answers that we know all store owners can benefit from.
Here’s a question from last month that retailers were buzzing about:
Retailer Question:
I would appreciate suggestions. In our new location, there are many high-rise condos and apartments. I’m running our monthly Most Recent Ad to Followers and an Awareness Ad using a reel within a 25-mile radius. The Awareness Ad is a 10-second reel with an average 1-second view. Cost $2.06 per 1000. Do you have any suggestions? I really appreciate any help you can provide.
Answer 1:
Hey! Steph here, I’m going to defer this question to Mike, but I definitely had a few ideas to target the residents of the high-rise condos and wanted to share:
1) Get a good photo of the different high-rise condo buildings around your new location. –
Photoshop (in Canva) the monkey from your logo on the buildings as if it’s scaling the building, replicating the famous scene from King Kong! You can play with copy from King Kong as well, since it’s your new location. I’m imagining “From the far away lands of (insert your. old neighborhood), the Green Monkey comes to (insert new neighborhood)!”
2) Create a Greenscreen Reel sharing “Condo-Friendly” gifts and accessories and the idea can be multi-functional items, modern items, compact items, useful and tactical items, etc! I’m imagining the copy being along the lines of “We know that if you live in a condo, you likely don’t need “stuff”, here’s the condo-friendly good-stuff 😉 ” OR “We know space is limited and hand picked the items build to keep up with the high (rise) life”!
Answer 2:
To start the cost per 1k is below average so you’re doing great with the results. If you’re disappointed with the amount of longer views then you might consider doing an engagement ad with a video view goal instead. If you end up doing a neighborhood-specific ad, you’ll want to reel in the coverage area, I think the minimum is 1 mile.
