Increase Engagement on Social Media with These November Content Ideas

As a digital marketing and social media agency, we often get asked, “What should I post on social media?”. Well, if you have this exact same question, you’re in the right place. Our expert team is constantly strategizing and creating ideas to increase engagement on social media.

Combining unique and seasonal content with consistent posting is a recipe for success on your favorite social media channels, such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

Here are 10 unique content ideas to add to your posting schedule for November:

General Content Ideas:

FB Album/IG Carousel: Post outfits that go well with different styles of coats.

IG Story: Share a video showing what you love about November. Ask your viewers to share what they love by using the Question Box engagement sticker.

IG/FB Post: Create a carousel of items that would make great gifts for the holidays.
Ask if your viewers are the type to get their holiday shopping done early.

IG/FB Reel/TikTok: Take a daily photo of the sunset/sunrise. At the end of the month,
upload them all to a Reel and share the sunsets/sunrises from November.

Small Business Saturday:

IG/FB Reel/TikTok: Share the history of your store/first day of opening. Use the Green
Screen effect to show a photo from the early days.

IG/FB Reel/TikTok: Share a video about your experience being a small business owner. The
hardest part, the best part, and what wakes you up in the morning.

IG/FB Stories/Reel: Feature your town/city’s local favorites, including your favorite spot to get coffee, breakfast, dinner, buy gifts for people, go grocery shopping, buy candles, etc.

Thanksgiving:

IG/FB Story/TikTok: Ask your team members on video what their favorite things are to
eat at Thanksgiving.

IG/FB Story: Share a photo of your storefront or team and use a “Happy
Thanksgiving” sticker found in GIFS.

Black Friday:

IG Carousel/FB Album: Share the hottest items that are discounted for Black Friday.

We often talk about the 80/20 rule—how 80% of your content should focus on nurturing your audience and only 20% should have a clear goal of making a sale. To learn more about this fine balance, check out our blog, Use The 80/20 Rule To Grow And Maintain An Online Community In 2022.

Using these content ideas in November is a great start at implementing this 80/20 rule for the final months of the year!

What I Want You To Take Away From This Blog:

  • Creating fun content can increase engagement on social media.
  • Not all of your content should be about selling items.
  • Post consistently to rise to the top of the algorithm.

Okay, over to you…

What has been a great-performing post during Autumn for you?
