You have started the habit of posting on your Google Business Profile. That’s awesome! But I’m sure you are thinking, am I doing this correctly? Have content helpful for my profile?
First and foremost, I have to be clear on the most crucial thing about GBP posts, they are totally different from your social media posts. While we tell you that your social media content should follow the 80/20 rule, that’s not applicable to GBP posts. Why? Because your target audience is looking and ready to buy from you.
Okay, so what then is the content that I should be posting on my GBP? I know that’s what you are thinking. Here it is: You should try to sell or convince someone to buy from you. Below are some examples of what your GBP posts should be:
1). Offers. Since your audience is searching for a business or product, entice them by posting your current promos and offers on your business.
2). Your Reviews. If you received a compelling review from a while back, try “reposting” it on your GMB so that searchers will know about it and might convince them to buy from you.
3). Upcoming Events. Have an upcoming in-store sales promotion or sponsoring a charity event? Post it on your GBP to reach a wider audience.
4). Recent Awards or Recognition. If you received an award or recognition from your local chamber of commerce, that is great content for your GBP as it also builds your reputation and will help convince potential buyers.
5). Case Studies. This post will help convince potential customers as you provide them with real-life results about the products or services you offer on your business.
What I Want You To Take Away From This Blog:
- GBP posts are different from your social media posts.
- Since the target audience of your GBP posts are ready to buy from you, your posts should try to sell or convince them to buy from you.
- Your current offers and upcoming in-store sales event are a great way to entice your potential customers to buy your products/services.
- A great way to convince your potential customers is how reputable you are. Reposting a previous 5-star review, posting your recent awards received, and case studies some of the content that might help you persuade leads to buyers.
Okay, over to you…
There you have it. I hope this helps you in your posting strategy for your Google Business Profile. Just remember, your GBP target audience is looking to buy so your posts should entice or convince them to buy your products!
