Now that Fbook is trying to get you to “boost” your posts on your business page, my regular postings are hardly seen by 10% of my fans. That number seems to get even worse after I have “boosted” a post. Is it really worth continuing to use Fbook?
Great q, Julie! Now more than ever it’s critical to use the FB Ads platform. It is frustrating to some that you need to pay to get better exposure on FB, but their platform is extremely targeted; the more targeted your ads the less you’ll spend and the better they’ll perform. You might want to check out this past blog post where I advise readers to not Boost posts. http://www.crystalmediaco.com/never-boost-post-facebook/
In my opinion, it’s a waste of money to Boost because it’s not as targeted as running ads through FB Ad Manager or Power Editor.
And to answer your question, yes, I feel it really is worth continuing FB to market, especially since it’s the largest and majority of consumers are there. However you need to strategically use ads, and I’d also research and see where else your audience is online. You want to be where they are.
