Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and people are looking for thoughtful ideas and gifts for those they’re sweet on! Using unique Valentine’s Day content ideas that follow the 80/20 rule is a great way to grab their attention and direct their hallmark holiday dollars to your small business!
Here are 5 Valentine’s Day content ideas to use before February 14th:
Idea 1: IG/FB Reel or Story: Add Yours Sticker.
February 13th, the day before Valentine’s Day, is Galentine’s Day! A day to celebrate your best gal pals! Using the “Add Yours” Engagement Sticker, upload several video clips of you and your bestie to a Reel, or an individual picture or video to a Story. On the sticker, write “Galentine’s Day 💖” to allow people to contribute to the sticker with content of their besties!
Idea 2: IG/FB Reel/TikTok: This Or That Valentine’s Day Edition.
Use the layout tool on IG Reels (located on the left menu) to choose a two-panel layout. Film or upload two videos of Valentine’s Day-themed items or gifts. Select the check mark on the bottom of the screen if you’re happy with the videos, then go to the next editing screen. From there, add in a Poll Engagement Sticker to ask your audience to vote which item(s) they would rather open up on Valentine’s Day!
Idea 3: IG/FB Story: GIFS.
Snap a picture of a Valentine’s Day-themed display and add several themed GIFS surrounding the display on the edges. I recommend adding cute GIFs found by searching “Cupid”, “Adore” and “Vday” to get some unique GIFS outside of the “Valentine’s Day” searches.
Idea 4: IG/FB Reel/TikTok.
In a video using the greenscreen tool, upload pictures of your team members and mention why each of your team members would be your valentine/Galentine. Crystal Media examples:
- Robin would be my valentine because her birthday is on Valentine’s Day, she’s super sweet, and we could have a great conversation filled with connection.
- Crystal would be my valentine because she’s very creative and would choose a great wine for a Galentine’s Day date.
Idea 5: IG Guide.
Make local Valentine’s Day date recommendations to your community by adding several of your favorite restaurants and coffee shops to an Instagram Guide. This is a chance to showcase other local businesses while sharing nurturing content to your audience!
