Social Edge Live, Episode 21: 3 Plays to Score This Fall

As a small business owner, it can be tough to stay on top of your social media marketing game. That’s why we’re sharing 3 of our game-changing plays you need in your marketing playbook to score BIG this fall. Don’t work overtime when you don’t have to. Whether you use one, or all three, these plays are guaranteed to bring more foot traffic, sales, and customers into your store.

  • The Double Pass
    • Promote a goodie bag giveaway to your customers and ask them to share a photo or video on social media. Make sure you include your social media handles so they can tag your store. This play drives more traffic to your store while also getting your customers to promote your business for you.
  • The Play Action Pass
    • Host a live show buying event. This play utilizes Facebook Live; one of the best tools retailers can use to market their store. Hold the event when your store is closed to limit distractions, and make sure a couple people on your staff are with you to help showcase products or help collect customer information from anyone wanting to purchase items they saw during the event.
  • The Counter Run
    • Collect customer information at the cash wrap before they leave your store. This play will make it easy for you to build your customer base, so you can email blast or advertise to them after they leave your store. You always want to keep growing your customer base and turn everyone into a repeat shopper. This could be as simple as having in-store signage asking to follow you on social or have a notebook and pen sitting out on the counter for customers to leave their information. If you have a POS system this is usually a built-in tool for you to take advantage of.

Now it’s time to take these plays to the end zone and share with me your game-changing results. Together we can celebrate the wins as they start to come in!
